Anixter's on-the-record comment that AMD is looking at 315 useable die on each of 5,000 wspw next year is intriguing....

The interesting thing to think about is that, if 6 million hammers take as much space as 9 million Thoroughbred/Bartons, and they have 4 million Durons fabbed in Taiwan, AMD will have about 50% of the market, with the costs of 1 FAB. Intel would have the other 50% of the market, while trying to carry 4 times the costs.

I don't think Intel will be in a good position to bomb prices next year...
