i figured that in a chapter 11, the creditors could force ENE to liquidate the assets at whatever they could fetch for them (most likely much less than book) and pay off the debts in an expedient manner. so even though they showed assets exceeding liabilities, the end result would be some creditors not getting full or any payment and definitely no value left for common shareholders. has there ever been a chapter 11 in which all creditors were paid and there was still value left for shareholders? thanks.
