Nancy,

CSFB TLAB presentation indicates that there are a few request for proposals out ther for the metro space among the ILEC's, but given the constraints on the cap ex budgets any announcement will be strategic as opposed to an actual increase in spend rate (ie ... more buzz than reality). There is still oen ILEC that has not put out an RFP. TLAB thinks that given the environment most carrier that remain with their point to point supplier as opposed to giving sizable wins to new suppliers.

The call went a little fast. I did not have time to make good notes. I will try to clean up my notes if I have time.

ONIS technically is stil in a down trend. It is now at support. The next support level is $6 then $5.

I don't think there is a hurry given the possible downgrade of CIEN today. The reality is that ONIS is planning for a protracted slowdown. Remember they planned for a burn rate so that they can last 4 years. TLAB is not seeing anything before Q3 2002 at the earliest.
