"..who else would be qualified.." -------- Recent speculation had both Telecom and Hanaro getting mobile licenses as they head the 2 split halves of the present Telecom - when split. Word was that they would adopt TD-SCDMA.... which would make the licenses essentially worthless for a number of years. Clearly, Telecom does not express interest in TD-SCDMA. <g> For me, the crux of the issue is that MII and Telecom are tied at the hip... and it's most unlikely that what has transpired has occurred without approval. I like your projection of having a 1x network up and running in 3G spectrum concurrent with receipt of a formal license. Perhaps Hanaro will be strapped to the TD-SCDMA mast. Perhaps someone must be sacrificed for national pride...
