Most scholars put the Exodus at about 1250 bce. King David didn't found Jerusalem; he took it from the Jebusites. Minor things, but why give fuel to anti-Semites? Second, the basic denial of an Arab presence in Palestine before Zionism. Palestine may have been sparsely populated and badly ruled, but it wasn't unhabited and the majority population were Arabs, mostly Muslim with a Christian minority. There was lots of immigration during 1880-1947 but there was lots of natural increase too. Third, the refusal to face up to Palestinian nationalism. The Palestinian history of the "country of Palestine" may be bogus but that doesn't mean that Palestinian nationalism doesn't exist now. Wishing won't make it go away, any more than Arab wishing will make the Israelis go away.
