"How do you know when you have done enough?"

You don't. You would qualify as equal to God as a judge if you did. The job of soul judging is taken. We have been given hope and the promise of Mercy for having faith. If you have done enough, then what purpose is there in doing anything further. Life is a test of patience. Believe and work for righteousness sake...until your death. There are scriptures in Christianity and in Islam that talk about someone coming to belief at the last moment of life and of people who proclaimed belief all their life but who became disbelievers just before death. What do you make of this?

"The big difference is that Christianity is a religion of Grace and Islam is a religion of works."

I disagree. Islam is a religion of worship. We know nothing is available to us in this world or beyond except with the Grace of God. We pray to have strong faith, which we know God will give to whom God wills. God is All Powerful so he allows whom he will to have faith and allows who he will to go astray. We believe that God will have Mercy on those who keep the faith. That doesn't mean we have lived anything like a perfect life. Christianity makes a strong point of repentence, worship, prayer, obedience to God's commandments but I see many Christians who seem quite confused by the ability to claim that John 3:16 authorizes them to go to the bar and fogettabotit. There is faith and practice in both religions. There is Hope and Mercy in both religions. It saddens me that people think life loses purpose on a proclamation of John 3:16. How many of the upcoming Christmas parties will involve the ripping open the Christmas loot with staggering participants barely able to navigate the room. I know this is not Christianity but I do not go around pointing the finger as if it were.
