AMD will have a capacity of 5K * 13 * 315 = 20 million CPUs per quarter by the end of next year...

And world demand has been running about 32-35 million CPUs per quarter....

And AMD will be getting additional Durons from Taiwan foundries...

And VIA will be shipping some CPUs of its own, too....

It's a good thing for Intel that the losses in their "other" business are declining, since they may not have much else by the end of next year.


I think some of your estimates are high.

Also if there is so much overcapacity coming on line in the industry ASPs could head south again...
