Cleaning House ??

We already have had rumblings of Greenspan wanting to retire, (no spring chicken anymore), and that won't happen until the economy APPEARS to be recovering. Now Talk about O'neill being sweeped into the broom closet as early as the Xmas holidays. Bush Camp getting panicky , and preparing for election 2004. Does not want to repeat Bush Sr's mistake. In order to win the next election, he needs to beat terrorists, fix the economy while maintaining fiscal prudence. He will get one but not the other. You cannot win a war when the scales of economic participation is stacked against you from the beginning ,(a $10,000 bomb setup versus $billion in defence spending to protect the country against that $10,000 bomb) and an enemy that has no front(instead of a country , they are split up in small units dispersed around the world). Fighting this type of war demands excessive amounts of money that drains resources and delivers limited success on the war front. What will Bush campaign on, that he bombed the hell out of all those sand castles in Afghanistan? Its been almost 3 months since the search began for Bin Laden and they still can't find him. Its ironic that the movie " Behind Enemy Lines" opened last weekend. The funny thing is that the plot is about 1 American falling into enemy territory and being chased by a complete army and is able to evade capture, replace the american with bin Laden and you have the same script LOL!.

By the way , how many countries are actually spending $$$$ to fight this war? We know the Brits are involved but it is apparant that the mojority of the costs are being paid for by the US. The $25 million dollar reward for Bin Laden pales in comparison to the dollars spent on this war so far. Maybe (Sarcastic), the US had an inventory problem (Like most other Us corporations in 2001) at munitions and needed somewhere to dispose of them in order to replenish the inventory with up to date technology <ggg>.
