Thanks for the link (now I am a member of the NYT :).

I agree with some of Saad Mehio observations. However, he seems to place the burden on the west. Where is the movement within Islamic countries to change? Apparently the hold of the religious leaders of Islam is so strong that either fear or lack of enough support, this kind of movement is not yet viable.

You're asking what you can do more? You can work within your own community, and educate your own family to accept modern code of behavior when dealing with others, outside of the Islam faith. Please tell them the world will not tolerate the export of Koranic code to international relationships.
