Storm, that is a lot o BS, A terrorist is one that for whatever "political" reasons targets civilians. No big needs to write columns on columns on that pure and simple."freedom fighters" (such as the various Macquis and partisan organizations n WWII) did not target civilians, they targeted military targets. Israeli soldiers attacking Palestinians in the process of executing terrorists acts, or those that have done it before and vowed to do it again, are not attacking civilians, they are taking out criminals that Arafat was supposed to put in prison. Arafat has and had a choice, put these perpetrators in prison, or the Israeli will take care of them for Arafat. Arafat could also close kindergarten where kids are taught hate with their mother milk. Do you realize they have kindergarten where being a human bomb is depicted as the highest act of self sacrifice? These are kids being poisoned with hate, and until Arafat changes these curriculi, and control the extremists within his country, he'll have no peace. All he has to do is look at how David Ben Gurion, handled the problem of Jewish terrorists in 1948, he gave them a choice, accept the authority of the civilian arm or be eliminated. There was even a clear incident where the Hagana had to fire on the Stern people (a group of "Jewish terrorists") in order to make clear that no state can survive with a plurality of independent milizias, each doing what they think is "right". Luckily, that one incident made it quite clear that Ben Gurion meant business. If Arafat did the same with his "milizias", he'll have had peace a long time ago.
