I have been trying to formulate an opinion about this too.
Initially I was pretty disappointed. The idea of a machinists
carving out parts for booming Boeing in a part of the state
where it is quite cheap to run a business was a nice simple
thing I could understand. Getting into the ISP business does
not make sense at all to me--population density is low over
on the east side, the per-capita consumption of web junk has
to be lower, and "synergy"? Where did that come from?

For now my disappointment has faded and I'm trying to imagine
PCTH as sort of a regional diversified company. If you had to
place a bet on a particular region of the country it might as
well be in Washington--and I think eastern Washington might
see a nice boom over the next twenty years, Wenatchee in
particular. Hopefully PCTH wont get too diverse though, if it
buys Mission Ridge ski area or starts getting into the orchard
business I'll really be confused.
