I am opposed to the Alternative Minimum Tax which would give money back to big business for
taxes that they have paid in the past. Common Cause says IBM would get approximately
$1.4 BILLION DOLLARS BACK.

"Senate Republicans also have proposed a one-month holiday from the Social Security tax for workers and employers."

Can you explain what the above means? Does it mean that employees and employers do not have to
contribute to social security for one month?

Why do the Senate Republicans want this holiday? What does it have to do with their business tax cuts?
