our posts (see my previous post to Jacob Snyder) overlapped
in time and in thought! I agree with you that signs of
recovery in chip market are obvious (but semi-equips
will lag as they always do although stocks in the sector
have been decoupled from fundamentals for awhile now).
I'll add to your example from the electronics sector:

600k sales of nintendo gamebox.
DVD sales booming (see ESST pre-announcement)
FPM sales booming (see GNSS pre-announcement)
INTC and CSCO doing just fine

I fully agree we have the ANTI-BUBBLE. Short positions
are at all time highs. Good companies likes GNSS or DFXI
or IMCL (sorry for choosing my favorite stocks!!)
have so many shorts that their covering could propel the
stocks up for months...
