Christian fundamentalists are - as demonstrated in clinic bombings, sniper attacks, and assorted other violence - as equally prone to violence and/or murder as their Islamic counterparts are.

Nonsense. You have no sense of proportion. Every religion has a few whackos. Only Islam has an organized political movement within itself that supports terrorism and is supported by as many as 15% of the religion's adherents. The Christians (or for that matter, the Hindus or the Sikhs or the Jews) have not shown an equal propensity to violence.
