i went into this exclusive "grocery store"
in vancouver today called meinhart's. its
someplace where you might go to get one or
two specialty items - but is filled with
people who buy everything there. it's got
small isles flanked by shelves filled with
exquiste foods - infinite varieties of olive
oils and mustards and salsa and a pastry
section to die for and a deli that doesn't
stop - it's a place where you'd go to shop if
you were planning to give a gift basket of
special stuff to a very special person.

i bought a bottle of olive oil that has maybe a
half dozen or so truffles in it. they were sampling
it - just one drop on a piece of italian bread.
ohhh, it's to die for. or sprinkle on pasta and
serve - a little goes a long way.

just thought i'd share that with you. i've hidden
the bottle (ggg)
