Dan3 Re..French firm Soitec, which told the world early in November that it had received multi-million orders from AMD for its 200- and 300-mm* special SOI wafers, has started delivering them. A release yesterday said it had started to ship its Unibond wafers in large volume and had also started sampling the 12-inch wafers too.<<<<<<<<<<< Do you know; if AMD just started receiving SOI wafers, approx. how long before testing and manufacturing are done, and we can expect the SOI based horses to hit the streets. 6 mo.?
