Pete, I have a close friend that grew up in NW Indiana, near Rudy. He has friends that knew Rudy in HS and college. They say he was a giant PEST. That's how he got on the ND football team, and that's how he got a movie made. He just kept pestering people until they finally gave in. I guess he was a pretty unpopular fellow because he was such a pain in the arse. You do have to admire his drive however. It really is a good story- kind of the American Dream. You can achieve anything if you only work hard enough at it. (or pester hard enough). <g> You're right on about South Bend. I've never been to Jersey City- but I can't imagine it being any less appealing. The ND campus OTOH is spectacular. Everyone should visit the cathedral there just to see the lavish gold fixtures and such. Terry
