I am re-writing this one. I dont want to sound clueless and you certainly can think out of the box.

1. If arafat goes, would hamas modify its view of destroying israel or would mutual deterrence between enemy states work there? Do not know.
2. Would hamas supporters(iran and syria) stop supporting terror in the region if all or most all of west bank under their rule?
3. Can arafat make one final attempt for peace and maintain his power?
