FORD

fine auto ..

I find the Mer Gran Marquis one of the best values in the full size range ....

I quickly looked up these in Consumer Reports ...

as to the Explorer ...
new body style and a redesign of some engineering features so not much to go on there

the Mustang is ok

the Ranger is not quite up to par for a small truckie

and
my ratings *(I can qualify as an expert in the automotive field)

Explorer ..... great vehicle, but I'd get wider tires than standard but the ride is NOT as smooth as the GM kind that I prefer

Mustang .... sleek styling and good looks ... good choice for Killer

Ranger .... too small for my taste, rough ride, BUT very reliable .... I'd recco a full size F150 with the short narrow bed *(looks absolutely great)for you .....
if you do get the Ranger ... DO NOT get the four cylinder jobbie ..... the "IT" will outrun a semiloaded Ranger and as a matter of fact, a wheelbarrow and an "IT" might be better .....
go full size F150 ... v6 is fine as far as power and the fuel mileage is not too much less than the Ranger
