combjelly, The argument is not about trace cache being smart idea (which I think it is) but about whether the trace cache runs at full speed or not. The only explanation I can think of is that P4 has only 1 decoder, while Piii has more than 1 (2 or 3?). But can 2 decoders be used in Kap's code? Joe
