Will moving the entire world's population one person at a time a max of 11 miles at 14 miles per hour "change the world"?

Sure, there may be a technology involved here that will develop into something more, but this toy in & of itself will not change the world! While every journey begins with a single step, can someone say that single step was the sole important step?

In its current form Segway is little more than a toy and far removed from it's every promise of life improvement! Would you let Toyota or Honda get away with making the exact same claims for their electric/gasoline vehicles?
