United Technologies Corp. Renames IFC as UTC Fuel Cells

HARTFORD, Conn., Dec. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX - news) announced today that it has changed the name of its International Fuel Cells unit to UTC Fuel Cells.

The change, effective today, is intended to more directly associate the unit with UTC as fuel cell technology grows increasingly important.

UTC Fuel Cells, based in South Windsor, Conn., is the world leader in fuel cell production and development for commercial, transportation, residential and space applications. It is the sole supplier of fuel cells for NASA and the only company producing a commercially available fuel cell, the PC25(TM) power plant.
