That brings up this question. If Muslims are always preaching to read the quran, then why do they have such a high illiteracy rate? If reading the good book is so important, I would think that they would stress education as being important. Maybe this could be why they are able to distort the book to whatever whim they have that day. If I had a congregation that could not read, then I could tell them pretty much anything I damn well please. Maybe even put the fear of God in them.
