Ok I give up. How did Steve know the cowboy would go into the Saloon? As you well know, past success is no guarantee of future success, or I believe that is the standard disclaimer. It bothers me that Mike was so naive that he would bother to bet. He should have known that Steve had seen that kind of thing before and would have a much better chance at guessing at it.

But that is farm boys for you. Always pushing the envelope of what is possible in our philosophies in heaven and earth.

Where can I get that tape? I would like to see if I can predict if he will enter the saloon or not. After all, as the second law of thermodynamic states it is only chance that governs the dispersal of matter. Nothing else seems to govern what happens to any single molecule and the bunch of them is up for grabs too.

So we really don't know what that cowboy will do, do we? His molecules could go this way or that. Nobody can predict the future. Entropy is time's arrow but it could reverse in flight.
