Keith I think everyone uses technical analysis a little bit differently but you can find some excellent explanations at this site I have provided a link for below. I was incorrect in assuming that Williams and RSI could be interchanged. Honestly I like to keep things very simple. I think Gottfried does too. You can watch Bollinger Bands and RSI for determining oversold and overbought situations. Then all you need is a good eyeball and a ruler to discover areas of support and resistance. There is lots more to learn here. Please read RSI and Bollinger Bands first to understand where I am coming from in my analysis:

By the way the chart you were using from Silicon Investor might be fine if you grow familiar enough with the layout to trust it. That being said I like BigCharts and StockCharts a lot more. BigCharts gives me a fast general view. I'm still getting used to StockCharts but it appears to be capable of giving someone interested enough much more specific information. Some is good information is really good like the weekly SOX chart that Gottfried pulled up The RSI is still low enough on that chart to suggest we have a greater advance ahead of us. The daily chart however says we are potentially overbought as the upper Bollinger Band is already penetrated. RSI does not completely support a reversal. The weekly chart looks even better going forward for more gains:
