DJ - Folks aren't rowing away? Can't you see the rafts of Cash and Government Bond drifting off into the sunset? Augmented by Greenspan inflatable high-yield redeemable convertible preferred shares in unsexy, unEnron, almost unsinkable blue polystyrene. They are not hard to see, if you are peering in the right direction: towards sunny tropical islands. If you take your Zeiss field glasses out of their case and look out... no over this way... yes. The guy with a full pro-forma head of hair in the orange life-vest waving to you... Yes. Now we see each other clearly. Pain? We don't need any more pain. What we need is for these sharks to stop knawing at the rafts! John p.s. all tongue in cheek... of course. p.p.s. yes, Far Side Cows is a good image. Some over on other threads take offense to use of the words "lemming" and "sheep". If cows don't find acceptance, we will have to abandon ungulates and perhaps switch metaphors over to primates.
