By the way, in junior high school I wrestled and participated in track and field, just to show I could do it. I actually lettered in wrestling. In track, although I was fast, I did not have long enough legs to be a competitive sprinter, nor the wind to be a good long distance runner. I ended up anchoring relay teams, mostly, and trying various field events, like shotput and broad jump. I would often enough place second or third. One problem is that there would usually be guys who were held back, and therefore a year or two older than the rest, in many of these events. By high school, most of my time was taken up by drama and student government, so I dropped sports.
