Hmmmm....Many numbers were revised as Clinton went out the door, too. Maybe it is politicians, maybe it is just that budgetary estimates are subject to revision. The one I liked the most, on the Clinton side, was a lowering of the estimates of annual growth for the last several years, his one big claim to superiority over Reagan and Bush. Turns out the numbers had been inflated. Wonder how that happened?
