Lots of retailers reporting this am Overall I'd say not great, some terrible 07:56 ET Circuit City (CC) 18.69: Reports a 6% increase in Nov same store sales. Co expects to achieve prior earnings guidance of a slight profit for the Circuit City business. 07:49 ET Spiegel (SPGLA) 4.88: Reports a 17% decline in Nov same store sales, with Eddie Bauer division down 21%. Warns that Q4 results will come in below previous guidance of $0.25-$0.30. "December represents a significant month to the Group's fourth quarter earnings and given the uncertainty surrounding its outcome, the company is not providing further guidance at this time." 07:46 ET Chrstphr & Bnks (CHBS) 40.08: Reports a 10% increase in Nov same store sales. Expects Dec comps to improve 3%-5% and Jan to rise 0%-2%. 07:41 ET Talbots (TLB) 34.51: Posts a 12% decline in Nov comps, "in line with expectations." Reconfirming Q4 outlook of $0.52-$0.54 (consensus $0.53). 07:21 ET RadioShack (RSH) 27.09: Reports a 3% increase in Nov. same store sales. While disappointed with its Nov. sales results, company remains comfortable with Q4 earnings projection of $0.66 (consensus $0.66). "It is likely the Company will arrive at this amount by delivering a higher gross margin percentage year-over-year despite lower sales." 07:18 ET Same Store Sales : Limited (LTD) and affiliate Intimate Brands (IBI) report Nov. comp declines of 7% and 6%, respectively . Both companies remain comfortable with Q4 consensus... Costco (COST) posts a 4% increase in same store sales... Buckle (BKE) posted a 5.5% decline. 07:12 ET BEBE Stores (BEBE) 19.13: Retailer reports a 10.3% decline in Nov. same store sales. 07:07 ET Pier 1 Imports (PIR) 15.40: Reports a 12.5% increase in November same-store sales. "Based on November sales results we are again revising our earnings forecast up for the third quarter to a range of 25 to 26 cents from our most recent guidance of 21 to 23 cents per share" (Consensus $0.22).
