Hi Tom,

And thanks for YOUR response. Hear me out on this one, would you?

I believe you characterized yourself as a system trader... well severel weeks ago I posted my usual forecast on Saturday based on Barron's which I review for the coming week... and I said that the market should move up striongly based on those indicators... and the DOW went up several hundred points...

The two foloowing weeks, my prediction was for a benign market with some upside potential because of the most actives... but I believed the markets would end down. Well this past week the DOW went up 33 points. The week before it was over 100 points.

This week I have the same forecast... benign... I don't see any crash in these figures... which is what I said last week.

So while the top has not been exceeded... we don't have a Big Kahuna staring us in the face...

Will it come??? who knows??? But the market is not going UP any more.

I can Email you the GE and VGY charts I used to show the situation. And basically a Fibonacci analysis in time shows June 20th was the peak... in previous instances it has taken 1-3 MONTHS for a major pull-back to really get underway. But I believe we will have AT LEAST a 10% sell-off by July options expiration... which why I am in puts.

I haven't heard anyone espouse wild and crazy feelings of some major event occurring... at least not on THIS thread. What I do hear are some fairly reasoned (whatever that means) attempts to make sense of a major sell-off and when it might happen.

As I like to say... I may be crazy, but I ain't stupid... at least most of the time I ain't stupid.

Comprede?

Bill

PS I named this thread in recognition of the potential of a major event and not to attract a bunch of crazies like me... So I apologize if you have the wrong impression of what this thread is about. And here is MY crazy stuff... I believe the DOW SHOULD be priced at around 5,000 but the pendulum will swing AS FAR DOWN AS 2,700... I wonder where THAT figure came from? Now THAT is crazy!!!
