Man, this an extremely difficult job ascertaining God's word according to Islam. One must read the right versions of the Qu'ran, Hadith, companion guides, etc. and to do it most accurately in the native language of these writings, which is Arabic.
IMHO, God has put a tough job in front of us in ascertaining the truth, according to Islam. It doesn't seem fair! I don't have the time to learn Arabic. I spend a lot of time on Islamic material, on and off, for many years, and what you are telling me I am spinning my wheels because I don't know Arabic, and might not have the right materials to do it, even know I am reading well published English translations of the above books!
It seems unfair!
