The correct analogy is .... I don't see your proposals coming from the GOP. Their idea seems to be cut all the revenues and then borrow money to keep the programs going while they don't run any review. Where is the goldbrick and featherbed commission? The revenue cuts are made before review and the resulting crisis precludes a review since all departments become pressured regardless of how well they performed or how needed their services were. If there are good motives buried in that plan they are failing the implementation. If however the motive is to get the watchdogs off their back while they make the grab of a lifetime then the implementation makes a lot of sense. TP
