I must admit it's disheartening to watch eVwap sales rend their way downwards. My hopes for Ashton were based on the ever rising eVwap volumes and up until 9/11 I saw good reason to be optimistic. I am surprised by these turn of events. For a number a reasons enumerated here and elsewhere eVwap always seemed like a valid concept to me.

I still have considerable disdain for those who have suggested that Ashton Managment lacks for integrity or purpose. I don't believe they ever made a valid case. Indeed, quite the opposite, but I think I'm willing to concede that the eVwap concept must have flaws associated with it be it in it's implementation, design or usefulness to the end-user.

Maybe Ashton & eVwap can still be saved, but they're gonna need someone with very deep pockets and I suspect soon.
