Tim, good news for you and other holders of AMD and INTC. I bought some INTC for my nephews this afternoon for XMAS [they will not be happy since I am sure they would prefer a new game for their gameboys]. I bought it at $33.89 and was p*ssed that I had not bought a couple weeks ago much cheaper. Well after this midquarter update, INTC and AMD will be ramping so 33+ should look cheap.

EDIT.AMD is at $17.25 in afterhours and INTC is at $35!!

Intel boosts Q4 revenue range (INTC) By Chris Kraeuter
Intel (INTC) boosted its revenue target as demand for its microprocessors have been stronger than expected. The world's largest chipmaker now expects fourth-quarter revenue between $6.7 billion and $6.9 billion, compared with a previous range of $6.2 billion to $6.8 billion. Also, gross margins are expected to be above the midpoint of its previous target-range, which was 47 percent, plus or minus a couple of percentage points. Intel has not provided an earnings target. Analysts, on average, had expected Intel to earn 10 cents a share on revenue of $6.59 billion.
