OT/Eric. Just for myself and my two teen sons. Was a broker with one of the top W.S. firms in the 70s and early 80s but the 81-82 Papa Bear got me out of the commission biz. Thank God<G> Kicked around a few years working for other people and considered taking on clients on a fee basis as an advisor. But in mid 1986 - with the sage and advice and guidance of a very wealthy and successful professional investor as a mentor - decided to focus solely on working with my own capital. He helped me greatly that 1st year and after we relocated to the midwest in early 1987 I had no trouble sticking with what was still a healthy learning curve focused mostly in the energy sector. From long before we were married Mrs Patch has had a very LT conservative buy and hold style. One thing you learn early in a good relationship is not to try and change eachother. She occasionally plays an idea of mine. But unless she asks me for one, I don't offer advice.<g> She enjoys watching the wheeling and dealing, but know some of it scares her. For example, can't get her interested in the golds. So try to keep it down to a dull roar.<lol> How and when did you get your start Eric?
