Hey VS, I have prediction (or a set thereof).

Unfortunately, it may mean bad news for gold and silver. The prediction more or less jibes with the article you posted and merely emphasizes what we are already seeing and discussing in a number of related threads. The condition will merely become entrenched and chronic.

And what is this prediction? In a word, disconnection. Stock market prices will become permanently disconnected from economic performance, interest rates from economic demand, and precious metal prices to supply and demand of the actual metal.

The economy will tank, but stock markets will soar. Interest rates will continue falling, but investment will shrink. Low interest rates will keep house prices high, but fewer and fewer will be able to afford them. There will also be other effects we can't foresee now.

It all started when the western world disconnected the monetary system from any real underlying value. The derivative industry was born on that day. We are reaping the rewards of that now, either in inflationary spirals, or deflationary liquidity traps.

This is the real "New Economy". A whole lot of unrelated segments, some profitable for a few well positioned insiders. Globalization causing disintegration. It's so simple and bizarre.
