It wasn't a "bet", but that's OK.

And in the Intel CC, Bryant said that Intel was not meeting demand, always a good thing for AMD ASP's. I doubt that it's the marketing scheme that is raising AMD ASP's, I think it's demand.

Thinking cause and effect, it might be that AMD has "almost disappeared" from US retail because of the model rating scheme. Just a postulate.

Disty (white box) continues to grow substantially for Intel, and certainly (with their OEM losses) for AMD. What's up with that? Why are people buying from screwdriver shops instead of OEM's? I can't figure why that is happening, or the implications.
