My experience is that the price of the stock usually moves to or just below the strike price with the greatest open interest.

Ya, but are you bettin' on it? <g> I bought 5000 AMCC today and shorted the Dec 15 calls against them for 80¢. I'll be happy to let them go if need be, though have to pay full commissions ($339) if I get called. Will buy them back for 5¢ if the opportunity arises.
