Not if L2 runs at the same clock speed (or relative ratio of clock speeds) as the rest of the core. Are you saying that 1.3 GHz P4 is physically different than 2.0 GHz, other than multiplier settings?

Joe, I'm only speculating here but what makes you think it has to be?
