Elmer - Re: "if we assume AMD is only devoting half their fab capacity to processors (why in the world would they do that?) " What else do they make? Flash - Still all done in Japan by the Japanese - AMD is a serf to them. Chip Sets - AMD farms these off to a Taiwan Foundry. Programmable logic - Whoops - AMD sold that a couple years ago !! Communications chips - Whoops - those were done in AMD's Fab 14 and Fab 15 - and they are being shut down. What else is there?
