Hi Diane,

A few questions for you to follow up.

1. What were the deep results from the south-east zone 3 (500 meter+). Why would Bre-X not release them ? If the rest of the holes were salted, why would the deep holes not be salted and released too ? Surely good deep drill results would drive the stock price higher.

2. Is there any possibility that there is gold in the southeast zone ? In my opinion, the south-east zone contains gold. The salting occurred to deliberately steal the property away from Bre-X ! Any comments ?

3. The Aussies acknowledged that Bre-X's results from the central zone were similar to theirs. Now, I would think that if there was some gold found in the middle of nowhere, then there MUST be more gold around.

4. Friday's Financial Post (Feb. 27/97) indicated that Merukh had postponed the law suite against Bre-X to Sept. '97. Now why would he still be fighting over Busang if there was no gold. Think of all those legal bills piling up !

More later.

Regards, Lalit Jain
