The kiwi heroes of Karitane - plunket.org.nz
... they took NZ infant mortality to the lowest in the world eighty years ago, their original buildings at Karitane are still there, some of them anyway, you could drive right down to the beach and walk around them ten years ago ... all over the country there are Plunket centres and Karitane nurses, they put a lot into raising kids, and do it well

There's a NZ connection in the header as well, though i didn't think of it while typing ... i was billeted with some kiwis for a few weeks, slept in their library/office sort of ... lots of aviation books, most memorable was 'Wind Sand and Stars' by Saint-Exupéry ... true story, his own experiences as a fighter pilot, told in a very gallic manner, expressive, you are right there with him, an excellent read whether you like to fly or not ... so later i picked up The Little Prince
