De hip bone's connected to de thigh bone ... ahem ... yeah i know what you mean but i think we are well able to distinguish the concepts to the extent that they need be ... in mining you're talking economics always, mines are fixed geographically so you can't move 'em, therefore you better consider what is going to happen around them politically ... and it could be argued that what happens politically can be influenced by economics - if your mine workers are making enough to eat and have some hope of better in the future, that could be one factor in influencing them away from rising up and slaying your managers and keeping you out of 'your' mine with AK-47s ... could be a factor, wouldn't necessarily, can't always presuppose rationality ... but the opposite, a diminishing of hope among your workers and other locals, that would just about always be a negative, eh, it would find other factors like tribal hatreds on which to feed itself
We all fear Africa, that's why the discounts are so deep on shareprices ... look at Southernera, if Messina was in Sonora or Québec suf's market cap would be a multiple of what it is .... still, they're there and we dabble in them ... i'm sitting on nominal shares of dmw.to, wondering whether to add or not ... 'the new people will likely run it one day' is a possible theory |
