Albert, re: "amd's q1 pc microprocessors revenue was under 500 mil, was not it? Flash is probably below expectations though."

After reading AMD's release a couple of times, I decided to look up the CPU revenues:
1Q01: $661M, >7.3M units
2Q01: $588M, >7.7M units (record)
3Q01: $467M, >7.7M units ("record")
values taken from press releases, all found here: amd.com

So if AMD thinks they can achieve record CPU revenues in 4Q01 this would be an increase of 41% over the dismal 3Q01 - to be shared between unit and ASP growth (most, IMHO). The estimated total revenue increase of 10% or better is $76M+ while CPU revenues may be up $194M. And flash is flat... Hm. This doesn't seem to quite add up - mostly the projected record CPU revenues (being cynical) or that revenues may be significantly more than 10% higher.

I am very tired as I am trying to wrap up a parts order for a dozen computers (details, details <g>) so maybe I am missing something.
