Re: Otherness

I agree. CWG observes that the relative world is based on ten illusions, the ninth of which is "Superiority exists". For many this is the most "difficult" illusion to understand, for it is the "noblest" of all sins. In Christian theology what is Lucifer's sin? "Pride of Intellect" The same "sin" is found in almost all traditions, each of which believes that it possesses "the truth" and even if it professes ecumenism for practical reasons cannot help but consider itself "better" than others. I've observed that this attitude is often particularly pronounced by "converts" towards their former beliefs.

Yet the great miracle of God's glory is that reality it far, far grander than this. And so Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Confucianism, and all the other religions and moral philosophies of man, the spiritual insights of all the gurus and mystics who ever walked and taught on this earth, are all equally true and valid. Note that I said "equally true", not "equally wrong".

In my Father's house there are many mansions.

And so God accepts all, and blesses all, and loves all, and says to us "I have sent you nothing but Angels. I have given you nothing but miracles."
