I see, you don't give a hoot about the Earth losing the Moon Probably more in danger of falling on our heads! Does the Moon loose energy as it orbits the Earth ? itss.raytheon.com So, the moon's kinetic energy is some 1.1e22 kilowatt-hours... global hydroelectric energy consumption is currently on the order of 2.6 trillion kwh/year, so that's 4.2 billion years worth, LOL!
