This would appear to be a modest positive development. I interpret this to mean that Bell Mobility Investments wanted Infospace to provide them with some bilingual voice recognition capabilities and are funding a portion of the R & D expense as part of a joint R & D joint venture. In and of itself I don't think it's very significant, but it does deepen Bell Mobility's strategic ties to Infospace which is, of course, good. In case you didn't know, while Infospace is a 20% owner of Digeo, Charter Communications and Vulcan Venture are funding all of it's R & D costs. There is virtually no out of pocket expense to Infospace in their cable internet access business. I just hope that I'm not old and grey before it makes its debut. When last I heard management speak of it, it was supposed to be a 2003 story instead of 2002, which was instead of 2001, which was instead of 2000 as originally planned. Well, the good news is that 2003 is now only a year away!
