In one were to assume a $5 bln net liability for co over the next 10 yrs, the net present value of this liability would equate to roughly $5.40 per share.




12:32 ET Halliburton (HAL) 13.88 -6.97 (7%): --Update-- Stock downgraded to Neutral from Buy at Salomon Smith Barney following sizeable asbestos ruling against company. While firm believes stock currently discounts massive asbestos liabilities, the specter of lawsuits spiraling out of control is likely to negatively impact stock performance for the foreseeable future.
