Thank you for your response. The question then becomes is there anything out there that can be uniform enough that costs can be conducive enough for the consumer? There are about four million people in this nation using broadband. Start putting on speed limits and additional jargon into the contract you aren't going to have a consumers rush on broadband when the other 300++mil dont know what it is.
The difficulty appears to me to be similar to if the Golden state bridge was built by separate companies and in anger someone pulls a piling out. There of a concrete decision must be made about the fate of broadband as this affects the future of the whole.

The telecoms must move in unison with a long range goal of a piece of the pie, versus trying to shoot each other in the foot to find the plate of the future is now empty. It is one thing to be a victor but this field can't afford to be competitive now.

It is one thing to outsource to reduce costs it is entirely another to not have enough of uniform source in place to even consider competition.

Deregulation should of had clause in it that we the government have allowed you to make your own decisions or now we designate the regulations to you.

I really want to laugh as this reminds me of when children become teenagers and a parent forgetting they still need an occasional tug on the reigns gives a child their own credit card. As teenagers a large percentage of this group of telecommunications blew the budget

Thinking of kids yuck can and string here i come.
