"The one area that the right wing skips and ignores is the alternative to abortion"

This is another mis-direction if not an outright lie. The truth is that pro abortion people ignore the very noble and honorable position of adoption. There are zillions of people waiting (2 years is the average I believe) to adopt, but what it really comes down to is the pro abortion people think the human life that is killed is less important than the "hassle" of delivering a baby. So your point is the EXACT OPPOSITE of reality. People who are against abortion view adoptions as an excellent alternative to an unwanted pregnancy.

"but the odds are that a life of misery and horror are in store for it"

Not with adoption. No way. The people that are waiting for adoptions have been screened and are as likely to be as good of a parent as natural parents. Again, the abortion is not an alternative to raising a child. It is an alternative to delivering one. Can't you see that difference?

"You make a bad assumption that someone who does want to abort in the THIRD trimester, after carrying for 6 months and aware of all the procedures you have layed out will magicly become Donna Reed if a few more months go by"

I have NEVER EVER EVER made that assumption. You just made that for me. This is another example of spin and misdirection. And most likely an actual LIE about what my assumption is since I have never stated that (if not a lie, how did you come to this incorrect "assumption" of mine). I think I have summed up my feelings about the alternatives pretty well above.

Argue facts and logic and one or the other can change his/her mind. But when they are not on your side, personally attack the other guy. As I have said before, it works with dumb people, but it is an ugly and mean spirited strategy.
